Regional and National Peers

CPTC, in alignment with Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) standard 1.B.2, provides comparison between Clover Park Technical College’s outcomes and those of its regional and national peer institutions. The College’s regional and national peers were selected through a collaborative process where Cabinet chose the characteristics on which to select the group of peers. These characteristics were:

  • Size
  • Technical school/tech heavy offerings
  • Urban-serving
  • High representation of students of color
  • School in the Achieving the Dream network
  • School implementing Guided Pathways
  • School operates in a centralized system

Institutional Effectiveness used the Carnegie Classification dataset, IPEDS, and web searches to narrow down the College’s national peers. The final group identified by this process and reviewed by Cabinet include:

Athens Technical College Athens, GA
Augusta Technical College

Augusta, GA

Central Georgia Technical College Warner Robins, GA
Lee College Baytown, TX
Pueblo Community College Pueblo, CO
Savannah Technical College Savannah, GA
Texarkana College Texarkana, TX

The College’s regional peers are comprised of the four other technical colleges in Washington and Grays Harbor College, Walla Walla Community College, and Wenatchee Valley College (the latter three of which have substantial technical education offerings).

This dashboard compares CPTC’s completion and graduation rate outcomes to regional and national peers, disaggregatable by gender, race/ethnicity, CIP code (general program area), and degree level.
