Financial Aid for Washington State Residents


The Washington College Grant provides need-based aid for Washington State residents pursuing education after high school.


Who Qualifies?

Residents: Generally, someone who has lived in WA for at least 12 months prior to starting their aid-eligible college level program.

Citizenship: Both U.S. citizens and non-citizens (including undocumented students) can qualify.

*If you have successfully completed the FAFSA, then you have already applied for both federal and state financial aid and do not need to complete both.

How to Apply

Complete one of the following applications to be considered for state aid:

  • FAFSA: If you are a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • WASFA: If you are ineligible for federal aid due to immigration status

Other steps to consider include:

  1. Apply for Admissions to Clover Park Technical College – www.cptc.edu/apply to follow the steps for enrolling at Clover Park.
  2. Connect with an Entry Coordinator in the Welcome Center.
  3. Submit the Student Aid & Scholarships Institutional Form.
Apply Early!
