Free college tuition for eligible HS students

Your Students Get More with 1.4

Summer classes start July 1.

Washington State is investing more in its high school students by increasing funding the Running Start to 1.4 FTE, which now lets students take summer classes.

Earning college credit at CPTC allows your students to catch up, get ahead, and try the college environment without reducing your high school’s FTE count.

Students finishing up their sophomore and junior years - aka "rising juniors and seniors" - in spring 2024 can earn college credit in select programs.

Help your students get ahead with Summer Running Start at CPTC. They can use it to explore career options, get general education classes like biology or computer literacy out of the way, or catch up on missed learning opportunities.

See the newest OSPI guide to Running Start.
