Program Overview
Not sure what’s next after graduation? Need support navigating your future? Discover what the Trades have to offer through our MEC Summer Launch 3-week program. You’ll gain real-life exposure to career paths, connect with a mentor/coach, and take part in engaging, hands-on activities in four in-demand fields: Nursing, Heating and Cooling Systems, Construction Technology, and Welding.
This program is also designed to build your college readiness by helping you explore academic programs, understand how to navigate campus systems, and connect with student support services. You’ll gain insights into how technical education can serve as a stepping stone toward long-term career success—and begin developing a clear plan for your next steps after high school.
Beyond academic and career discovery, we also care about your well-being. The Summer Launch Program incorporates sessions and support focused on self-care, mental wellness, and stress management, equipping you to build healthy habits as you transition into adulthood. From mentorship to meals, career paths to personal growth, this is your launchpad for a confident future.
Daily snacks, beverages, lunch, and an MEC Summer Launch attendee gear and bonuses will be provided. All sessions will take place on the Clover Park Technical College – Lakewood Campus.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Complete the application for Summer Launch Program
- Complete the application for Clover Park Technical College
- Start or Complete financial aid applications, FAFSA or WASFA
- Complete Short Essay Response
- Be an incoming, first-time student at Clover Park Technical College
- Application Deadline TBD
