Meet the Student Life Team
As Director of Student Life, Cal Erwin-Svoboda is responsible for the overall leadership and development of core student life services and functions. Cal has over 10 years of programming, leadership development and international travel experience in higher education and has been at CPTC since November 2013.
Cal has a bachelor's in Public Relations and Promotions from Gonzaga University a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs Administration from Western Washington University and is currently working on a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Seattle University.

As the Assistant Director of Student Life, Story Gilmore provides supervision and direction to all student led-programs. Additionally, she oversees the Student Leadership & Service Center and work closely with the CPTC Food Pantry, Fitness Center, Activities Team and the soon-to-be Diversity Inclusion & Civic Engagement Center (DICE).
Story grew up in the South Sound and hold degrees from Green River College and University of Washington Tacoma and has been at CPTC since August 2018.

As the Student Life Engagement Coordinator, Jessica advises the Campus Activities Board who plans and facilitate events and activities for students for students, supervises the Student Marketing Team and support all student-funded clubs and organizations. Jessica has been with the department since March 2016.
Jessica is originally from New York and received her Bachelor’s from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego in Human Development. Most recently Jessica graduated with my Master’s Degree in Higher Education from Central Washington University in 2019!

As the Student Life Specialist, Alysia (she/her) supports the operation of the department, reconciles and monitors student-fee funded budgets, manages student employee hiring/payroll processes and serves as a general advisor to student organizations and the Associated Student Government. Alysia has been with the department since August 2019.
Alysia is a proud multiracial, first-generation college graduate from Tacoma, WA and recieved her Bachelor's from Washington State University in 2019 in Human Development, a Family Studies Certificate and a Minor in Sociology. Alysia will begin her Masters Degree in Higher Education at Central Washington University Fall 2020.
