Your resume is often the first impression you make on employers. Make sure it stands out! Join Career & Community Services for our Resume Readiness Workshop, where you'll learn professional resume writing techniques to showcase your skills and experience effectively.
What You'll Learn:
- How to structure and format a professional resume
- Tips for optimizing your resume for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Ways to highlight your skills, achievements, and experience
- How to access online resources, free tools, templates, and one-on-one support from Career and Community Services.

Did you know January 13 is national rubber duck day? To celebrate CAAB is hosting our campus favorite event, Rubber Duck Scavenger Hunt. There will be over 500 rubber ducks hidden throughout the Lakewood campus. Find them and bring them to the SLSC for a prize!

The Campus Activities & Advocacy Board (CAAB) is here to help you to never judge a book by its cover as we host Blind Date with a Book! The idea is simple - we wrap books (so you can't see the cover) and share the genre and a small blurb about the book, and you choose the book that sounds most interesting to you!
Blind Date with a Book is open to all current CPTC students. RSVP is required to ensure we have enough supplies. Books will be available to pick up starting Tuesday, January 27 thru Thursday, January 29. The deadline to RSVP is Thursday, January 22.

Please join Student Life on Friday, January 30 in Building 23 for the first of two winter quarter movie night events, featuring Now You See Me, Now You Don't! Doors open at 6pm (ice cream & photos) and the movie starts promptly at 6:30pm.
This event is open to all current CPTC students, faculty, staff, and UNLIMITED guests! There will be an ice cream bar, coloring pages, and a custom photobooth at the event.
A variety of seating arrangements will be available including theater style (chairs only), banquet style (tables & chairs), and open space for you to bring your own blankets, pillows, bean bags, etc.
RSVP is preferred to ensure we provide enough light refreshments to all.

Did you know that ONE pint of blood can save THREE lives? Student Life is partnering with Bloodworks Northwest to host a blood drive on Tuesday, February 24. Students, employees, and community members can sign up to donate blood between 9am-3pm. Sign up is preferred, though walk-ins may be available. Our goal is to secure 51 donors. Help us reach that goal and sign up for a spot today!
- Donors ages 16-17 will need their parent or guardian to sign a permission form in advance. Permission forms are available at the Student Leadership & Service Center (SLSC).

The Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) is hosting their annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 28 from 11am - 6pm at the Tacoma Dome. This free family event will have a focus on Cambodia and will feature cultural arts, games, crafts, performances, demos, hands-on activities, retail booths, fashion, martial arts, food booths, live entertainment and more.
