Lobby & Reception Room Goals: Prioritizing patient autonomy with gender neutral restroom signage, LGBTQ+ symbolism with thoughtful art, proper screening, and sound absorption for patient privacy.
Waiting Room Drawings: Floor plan and elevation; Room Goals: Expansive natural light, plants for visual fluency and stress reduction, comfortable, flexible, and durable furnishings for patients to feel at home while reducing noise and enhancing patient privacy.
Patient Reflection Courtyard floor plan and elevation; Room Goals: Incorporate natural lighting, visual repetition using shapes, and biophilic design features such as plants and a water feature to promote a calm, stress reducing environment.
Lobby & Reception Rendering: Shows entry, reception desk, and waiting areas in the foreground and background.
Waiting Room Rendering - Shows floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple seating areas, and a textured ceiling detail.
Patient Reflection Courtyard - Shows multicolored glass ceiling, water feature, and comfortable seating.

Textiles - 

Students acquire an understanding of textile properties and differentiating different fabric types. In this project the students applied their knowledge by designing a window treatment and choosing a complementary upholstery fabric, as well as calculating yardage.
