We recently updated our campus Wi-Fi network with newer, faster equipment. Below are instructions for accessing the new network.
Student Wi-Fi Account Activation
In an effort to get new students wireless access as quick as possible, they have been issued a unique password within 24 hours of registration. What this means to our students is that they don't need to go to the library lab and wait in a long line to establish a wi-fi account.
Username format
- last name (in lowercase letters) as recorded in the Registrar's office PLUS
- last four digits of CPTC Student ID number (not social security number)
- example: Last Name: garcia + student ID 975861234 = garcia1234
Password Support
Default Format
- cptc + ddMmmyyyy (birthdate with letters all lowercase, except for the first letter of the 3 character month
- example: a student born on June 8, 1999 = cptc08Jun1999
- Change your password immediately to prevent misuse of your account.
