Celebration FAQs

Graduates should arrive to pick up their gift box at the Lakewood Campus no earlier than 4p on the afternoon of June 22. The pick-up area will close and the celebration will end promptly at 6:00 that evening. 

A cap and tassel will be provided in the gift box that all students who pre-registered for one. The gift box will be available for pick-up on June 22. 

Gowns are not available for purchase through the College Bookstore. Students who wish to purchase a gown will need to do so online; please make sure you select a “black or matte black” option.

Students who will complete a certificate or degree in summer or fall 2021 are eligible to participate in the Celebration of Graduates on June 22 and receive a gift box, though their name will not appear in the official printed materials.

Degree/Certificate Application - In order to receive your degree or certificate in the mail, you must complete a Degree/Certificate Application. This crucial step tells the credentials evaluator to review your transcripts and verify that you have completed all the requirements in order for CPTC to can award your degree or certificate. 

Celebration Registration- The 2021 of Graduates will be on Tuesday, June 22 at Lakewood Campus of Clover Park Technical College from 4-6p. Register to attend the celebration and reserve your gift box no later than Friday, May 21. 

Yes. The Class of 2021 is invited to participate in a future commencement ceremony. The 2022 Commencement Ceremony at the Tacoma Dome is planned for Tuesday, June 21, 2022. 

CPTC apparel will not be available for purchase at the Celebration of Graduates on June 22. Please visit the College Bookstore website for apparel and store hours. Contact Kariena Mellor, Bookstore Manager, at 253-589-5614 for more information or to ask a specific question.
