COVID-19 is changing, and so are we.
These updated protocols are effective as of Monday, March 21, 2022. A revised plan will be provided as soon as possible.
Masks are optional for most.
Because CPTC is considered a fully vaccinated campus, the requirements are minimal. Most notable are that all employees are bound by the Proclamation for Covid-19 Vaccination and those with vaccination exemption accommodations must continue to follow the requirements of those accommodations. Additionally, students must attest to having been vaccinated or request a medical or religious exemption. Exemptions for students will require masking indoors while on CPTC campuses.
Optional
Vaccinated students, employees, and visitors may elect to stop wearing masks or to wear one at their discretion.
Required
All students, employees, and visitors who are unvaccinated and/or have a vaccine exemption in place should continue to wear a mask while in indoor spaces.
Some programs, such as those in clinical/medical settings, may require all participants to wear masks in some settings. Please ask your instructor or clinical site coordinator for details.
Ask to Mask
We recognize people will have different levels of comfort around masking. Employees who are willing to mask upon request will display window/door decals and/or button.
Building Access
Campus visitors no longer need to check in, submit health attestations, or use designated building entrances. Doors that were traditionally open prior to COVID-19 are again unlocked. Directional signage has been removed.
Social Distancing
Furniture has been restored to pre-COVID-19 arrangements. Distance markers are being removed and no longer need to be observed.
Exposure
Sections of the current safety plan regarding exposure response will remain in place. For example, the requirement to report activity and isolation and quarantine protocol for exhibiting symptoms, testing positive and close contact to a Covid-19 positive case.

Clover Park Technical College is required to provide regular reporting to the U.S. Department of Education (ED) on the use of funds authorized by the CARES Act. Funds received by CPTC under the CARES Act were authorized by Congress and signed into law by the President on March 27, 2020. The information is intended to not only meet the reporting requirements of the CARES Act but also provide information to our college community regarding CPTC’s use of the student grant portion of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF).
