Designed to develop the technical knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment in welding, metal fabrication, and related occupations.
Graduates may qualify for several types of positions in industries such as manufacturing, industrial maintenance, construction, and many others.
Completion of the program gives students the opportunity to develop skills in a variety of welding and metal cutting processes common to industry. Students are also able to gain practical experience through realistic projects.
Included in this program are academic courses in communication, quantitative reasoning, and social sciences that provide knowledge and abilities upon which technical skills are built and enhance personal development.
This program is approximately five quarters in length, depending on the time students need to satisfactorily complete all graduation requirements.
Admission Dates: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer quarters or by instructor permission.
