Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Administered By
Managed Health Network
The EAP is a counseling service offered through the Washington Consortium of Community and Technical Colleges. The program is available to all participating colleges and is designed to help employees and their eligible family members resolve personal problems.
As a permanent full or part-time classified, exempt, or faculty employee of a participating college, you, your lawful spouse, and your unmarried, dependent children are eligible for participation in the program. Children are defined as natural, adopted, foster, or step-children through age 19, or through age 23 if full-time students, or of any age if incapable of self-sustaining employment due to a mental or physical disability.
You and your dependents are entitled to receive two (2) sessions for assessment and referral per incident. If extended counseling is needed, the charges will become the responsibility of the employee or family member.
If you want counseling beyond the benefits of your EAP, your EAP counselor can:
- Refer you to your health plan provider, who can let you know what is covered by your medical benefits.
- Refer you to community-based organizations.
- Continue working with you for a charge.
