Skills Checking
Applicants applying for employment with Clover Park Technical College may be subject to one or more of the following comprehensive skill checks:
TYPING
The typing test is used to identify the speed and accuracy of an applicant’s typing ability.
DATA ENTRY/MULTIPLE CHOICE
Data entry/multiple choice tests identify the applicant’s data entry and general office skills.
WRITTEN RESPONSE
Applicants may be asked to respond to one or more questions in writing. The question is related to the position for which is being applied. From the applicant’s response, the selection committee can evaluate the applicant’s writing skill and knowledge depth in a specific area.
INSTRUCTIONAL STYLE PRESENTATION
Faculty Positions Only
Applicants may be asked to prepare an instructional style presentation on a topic related to the position for which is applied. From the applicant’s presentation, the selection committee can evaluate the applicant’s teaching abilities and knowledge depth in a specific area.
Applicants may be required to perform one or more of the following skill checks identified in the position classification for which is applied.
