We will
spend the last few weeks of the quarter working in small groups on a simple
business plan.
Objectives

for the project are these:
Parts of the project
There are
three major pieces of this project. They
are:
1. The business plan itself
2. Additional documents
A schedule of work to be completed
An employment ad
A simple marketing brochure or flyer
A letter to friends or relatives inviting them to be an
investor in your business
A procedure for one task related to your business
3. An oral presentation of the plan
All parts
of the project will be submitted by the group.
These are not individual assignments.
A class
schedule and due dates for the remainder of the quarter follows.

in the library for research on writing a business plan. We will take a close look at the Small
Business Administration website.

Brainstorm
a task list for developing a business plan

Bring
answers to ‘starting your own small business exercise’ to class.
·
Bring
your ideas for writing a business plan to class. This should be in the form of notes taken,
material printed out, or other research material you have discovered.

I
will assign you to groups and ask you to chose or assign roles and tasks, and
agree to a schedule for doing the work of producing and presenting a business
plan for a small business. The schedule
should include dates by which pieces of work will be complete, and who is
responsible for each piece.
