How much time will I have to give to my Protégés per week?

This depends on which avenue you take.

If you are applying to be a Volunteer Mentor, we ask that you commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week. You are a student first and you need to give adequate time to your college path – but if you feel you have that extra hour or two to help someone else, we invite you to do so! You can mutually decide your meeting time with your protégé to be face to face, on-line or on the phone if you are mentoring peer to peer. Mentoring session which are college student-to-youth will always occur on CPTC campus.

If you apply to be a lead peer mentor you will be expected to work up to 12 hours per week from Fall through Spring Quarter. Lead Peer Mentor positions normally become available only during Spring Quarter.

Please help! We are currently recruiting volunteer mentors!! Prior to becoming a volunteer mentor, applicants must complete application, successfully complete mentor training (1 hour) and have at least one hour per week available. If you desire to mentor youth – a background check will be required.

If you are in the final quarter of your program (Congratulations!), sadly, you will not be eligible to become a mentor.
