We know some people think, "I could never win a scholarship. There are probably one million people better qualified than I am." If you meet the basic requirements for an award, apply! Let the scholarship committee decide who gets the award. If you don't apply for an award, we can guarantee that you aren't going to get it!
You can give yourself a competitive advantage by reading and following the directions carefully. Provide everything that is required. Be sure to complete the entire application.
It is recommended that you type your answers to the “Free Form Questions” in Word and then cut and paste into the text box provided on the online application. Proofread the entire application carefully. Ask a friend, teacher, or parent to proofread it as well.
You are responsible for making sure your application is completed on time, including uploading your transcript and recommendation form.
Make sure to upload your transcript and recommendation form. Give the person who is completing your recommendation form enough time to finish and return to you so that you can upload your form and meet the deadline.
If you have problems with the application, do not hesitate to contact Heather Ervin, the scholarship coordinator at 253-589-5732. You may also stop by Building 19, Room 10 or e-mail her at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
