It is nothing more than a migration of all the job processes we currently perform in SBCTC/CIS to a new server.
Everybody who accesses SBCTC/CIS (SMS, FMS, PPMS, and PMS) and CSA( FAM, Degree Audit, WTS).
SBCTC/CIS users (SMS, FMS, PPMS, and PMS) will cease to use the SBCTC/CIS module with the standard login string (i.e. HELLUSER.CEIPLUS, MGR.P160).
Users will access their applications (SMS, FMS, PPMS, and PMS) via a new application with the same look and feel as SBCTC/CIS titled Secure92.
Existing menu structures will be maintained in their entirety (no drastic changes to how we do business)
Users will no longer be required to type in the login string; instead they will be prompted for first a username (i.e. SUSYQ) and password (i.e. Password).
User logins for active users (users who have logged into the system in the last six months) will be migrated seamlessly. All other logins not used in the last six months will not be migrated.
If you access any CSA applications, the logins and passwords cannot be migrated to the new platform, and must be changed manually by the end users. This will be done in the days leading up the “Go Live” date
New passwords must be created on day one when we go live. All new passwords in Secure92 will have the following requirements:
As we approach the Go Live date, SBCTC will communicate to us a date when we will be addressing the login/password changes in CSA applications. That information will be communicated to end users here on campus when we receive those instructions.
Information Technology Department will be installing Secure92 on users’ computers before we go live. We will be in communication with all users as this project progresses to ensure nobody gets left behind. In the meantime, everything is business as usual.
End-to-End/End User Testing scheduled to begin March 14th.
Initial college implementation date set for mid-late May 2011.
The “Go Live” date is scheduled for May 27-29th.
SBCTC has a website outlining all the information I covered briefly in greater detail: http://www.sbctc.ctc.edu/college/_i-liftandshift.aspx
