Northwest Public Radio brings Scott Simon to Tacoma October 5

NPR’s Peabody-Award-winning correspondent and Weekend Edition Saturday Host Scott Simon will appear at Clover Park Technical College’s McGavick Center in Lakewood the evening of October 5th.

The evening is a celebration of Northwest Public Radio’s partnership with Clover Park Technical College to bring NPR and classical music to listeners in the South Puget Sound area via KVTI 90.9 FM. Tickets will be available in September for an evening to include Simon’s take on NPR’s considerable impact on the field of news coverage.

Simon has reported from all 50 states, covered presidential campaigns and eight wars, and reported from Central America, Africa, India, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. NPR’s Weekend Edition with Scott Simon has been called by the Washington Post, “the most literate, witty, moving, and just plain interesting news show on any dial.” Scott Simon recently published Baby, We Were Meant for Each Other: In Praise of Adoption. He will be signing books at this event.
