Pay dates are the 10th and 25th of each month. If a pay date falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be the actual pay date. If the pay date falls on a Sunday, the proceeding Monday will be the actual pay date. Direct deposit of paychecks is strongly encouraged. Direct deposit instruction forms are available in the Payroll office as well as in the Human Resources office. The State of Washington provides health and related insurance coverage to eligible employees as a benefit of employment. Coverage to eligible employees begins on the first day of the month following their start date. If the start date is on the first work day of the month, eligibility begins that day.
