We enhance student learning and success through a comprehensive array of programs and experiences that focus on a holistic approach toward personal, intellectual and global understanding.
Claire Korschinowski, M.Ed.
Associate Director of Student Programs and Conference Center
During my college experience, I took advantage of an opportunity to become involved in campus life as a student leader. My involvement experience had such a positive impact on my life; I decided to become a college administrator to develop programs that inspire college students to become involved in their own experience.
Over the past seven years, I have directed campus life departments in the Nevada System of Higher Education and in the Community and Technical System in Washington State. I have earned an Associate’s from Pierce College, a Bachelors from the University of Washington and a Masters of Education from Western Washington University.
If you are searching for a college experience that is engaging, inspiring and an avenue for success, the Office of Student Programs can help you take advantage of those opportunities. “Involvement equals success” is our motto!

Coordinator of Student Engagement
When I was in high school I never thought I would go to college, much less work at one. After serving in the Army for a few years, I realized that I wanted to go to college and do something that would make a positive change in the world. I eventually ended up as a student at Pierce College Puyallup, where I developed a passion for student leadership. After a year as the President of Student Government at Pierce, I knew that I wanted to make a career out of working with students. I went on to graduate from the University of Washington Tacoma with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences with a concentration in Ethnic, Gender, and Labor Studies and I’m currently pursuing my M.Ed in Student Affairs Administration at Western Washington University. I love watching students grow and change as a result of their experiences in the leadership program and other involvement opportunities. I also chair the campus’s Veterans Resource Group.
