5 Steps to Apply for Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office reviews applications for aid and considers students for grants, loans, and work-study funding.

All students who think they may have difficulty paying for their Clover Park education are encouraged to apply for financial aid.

Information about our 5-step application process is available here.

It is very important that students access our application instructions, as completing the FAFSA is not the only step in the process.

Basic Eligibility Requirements

The following programs are NOT eligible for traditional financial aid: Adult Basic Education (ABE), general education classes below 80 (example Math 60 and Engl 79), GED prep, Quick Start programs, personal enrichment continuing education, Running Start or high school completion.

Students can receive funding for only one program at a time. Financial aid for a second program will not be awarded until the student’s academic transcript is updated to show that the student graduated from the first program.

To qualify for financial aid, a student must:

  • Be accepted for enrollment in an eligible degree or certificate program.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  • Not owe a repayment on a financial aid grant.
  • Not be in default on a student loan.
  • If male, you must be registered with Selective Service or provide documentation from Selective Service that you are not/were not required to register.
(Federal law requires males to register with Selective Service between the ages of 18-25).
  • Have financial need.
