Introduces the learner to the history, application, and principles of Swedish massage. This includes not only the massage strokes, but also client safety, communication, and charting of results.
 
Prerequisite:
The student will have submitted a medical statement of health from a primary care provider verifying their ability to safely participate in all aspects of the program prior to admission. MASST 114 must be taken concurrently with MASST 117
