Material Science: Quality Assurance Certificate


Prepares students for entry level employment opportunities in the aerospace industry, with transferable skills to other manufacturers requiring quality assurance.  

Students will gain foundational skills in manufacturing processes, safety, measuring instruments, blueprint reading, workplace psychology, report writing, and industrial math.  Skills can be applied to quality assurance and inspection work at all stages of manufacturing, from examining materials received from a supplier before sending them to the production line or inspecting components and assemblies during production to performing final checks on finished products.

The certificate program is two to three quarters in length, depending on the time students need to satisfactorily complete all graduation requirements.
