Welcome to LAKEWOOD PARENT COOPERATIVE PRESCHOOL, where parents are an important part of their child's preschool experience. A special feature is parent participation where the parent has the opportunity to work in the classroom, and observe the growth and development of the children.

CELEBRATING OUR 57th YEAR!!

Lakewood Cooperative Preschool was organized in March 1950 as the first preschool in Pierce County. The program at Lakewood Parent Cooperative Preschool is designed to meet the needs of children in all areas of their growth and development - - Physical, Social, Emotional, and Intellectual.

Lakewood Cooperative Preschool is for children ages 2 (by August 31) -5 years and their parents.

Tuition amounts are determined yearly by the membership and is prorated over a nine month period, so an equal amount is paid monthly. Parents Work at school as a teacher assistant, arriving 10-15 minutes before class time on working days (3-4 times each month.).

Registration

A registration fee is required upon enrollment. This fee covers insurance and tuition fee to Clover Park Technical College.

Class Times

• 2 year old class; Tuesday & Thursday mornings 9:30 to 11:00 am
• 3 year old class: Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings; 9:00 to 11:15 am
• 4 year old class: Monday through Thursday afternoons; 12:30 to 3:00 pm

Children are placed in classes based on their age on August 31.
