WLD 151 Basic Welding
Introduction to the shielded metal welding (SMAW)
process, including; equipment, safety, and skill
development with deep penetrating electrodes in
the flat and horizontal positions. Develops further
skill with SMAW deep penetrating electrodes by
welding various joints in the vertical and overhead
positions. Training can be tailored to meet
individual needs. Each student must bring gloves,
hood, goggles, and safety glasses. Text required.
