Windows Operating Systems and Security

Develops the knowledge and skills necessary to deploy and support Windows desktop and server operating systems in a variety of stand-alone and network operating system environments. Discuss, analyze, and develop the skills to support and secure a Windows networking environment.

This 649 clock-hour program is approximately two quarters in length, depending on the time students need to satisfactorily complete all graduation requirements.

CISSM 200 SUSTAINING & SECURING CLIENT OPERATING SYSTEMS
Introduces knowledge, skills and tasks necessary to deploy, support, and secure windows desktop operating systems in a variety of stand-alone and enterprise network environments. This course provides extensive hands-on training for Information Systems Security professionals responsible for installing, administering, and securing Windows Client operating systems.
Prerequisites: CISS 113 and CISS 117

CISSM 205 SUSTAINING & SECURING SERVER OPERATING SYSTEMS
Introduces knowledge, skills and tasks necessary to deploy, support, and secure windows server network operating systems in a variety of stand-alone and enterprise network environments. This course provides extensive hands-on training for Information Systems Security professionals responsible for managing accounts and resources, maintaining server resources, monitoring server performance, safeguarding data, and securing Windows Server network operating system. Prerequisite: CISSM 200.

CISSM 210 SECURING NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE
Introduces knowledge, skills and tasks necessary to deploy, support, and secure a windows network infrastructure. This course provides extensive hands-on training for Information Systems Security professionals responsible for implementing, managing, and securing a variety of enterprise networking technologies. Prerequisite: CISSM 205

CISSM 215 IMPLEMENTING & SECURING DIRECTORY SERVICES
Introduces knowledge, skills and tasks necessary to deploy, support, and secure a windows directory service infrastructure. This course provides extensive hands-on training for Information Systems Security professionals responsible for planning, implementing, securing and troubleshooting a Windows directory service infrastructure environment.
Prerequisites: CISSM 210

CISSM 220 DESIGNING NETWORK SECURITY
Introduces knowledge, skills and tasks necessary to deploy, support, and secure a windows enterprise networking environments, This course provides extensive hands-on training for Information Systems Security professionals responsible for planning, designing, and implementing a secure Windows network infrastructure, Prerequisites: CISSM 215

CISS 225 CO-OP WORK EXPERIENCE II
